RULES & REGULATIONS

Springdale Racecourse Policies

To all Guests: Thank you for your continued support.
Please follow our policies and enjoy a great day at the races!

GENERAL

All rules & regulations will be enforced by public safety officers on the premises.

All gates open at 9 a.m. Tickets, tailgating spaces and parking are non-refundable. Races run rain or shine.

The legal age for the consumption of alcoholic beverages in the State of South Carolina is 21. Please be aware that public safety officers are in attendance.

No corporate or political signs, banners, flags or other promotional items allowed.

Loud music and music with profane lyrics will NOT be tolerated.

The Carolina Cup Racing Association (“CCRA”) is not responsible for loss of reserved tailgating spaces. Space holders are responsible for renewing their spaces by the renewal cut off date or risk losing the tailgating space. Renewal dates will be emailed to guests and posted on our website and social media.

Any person contributing to the falsification of tailgating credentials and tickets or found in possession of counterfeit tickets will be removed from the premises and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

The sales, marketing or promoting of products, businesses or souvenirs is forbidden unless prior arrangements have been made with the CCRA.

The use of the Carolina Cup Racing Association’s logos, names and likenesses are not allowed unless prior arrangements have been made with the CCRA.

Personal golf carts, all terrain vehicles (ATV), utility task vehicle (UTV), side-by-sides (SxS), ROV (recreational off-highway vehicle) or multipurpose off- highway utility vehicles (MOHUV) are not permitted on the Springdale Race Course property.

All oversize vehicles, recreational vehicles (RVs) vans and buses MUST use Restricted Tailgating. Tailgating is not allowed in General Admission Parking or VIP Parking.

It is a condition of the issuance of tickets that all attendees shall hold the Carolina Cup Racing Association, its sponsors and beneficiaries harmless for any damage, loss or accident. Failure to honor race policies shall result in expulsion from the grounds and loss of reserved tailgating space.

TAILGATING

All reserved tailgating vehicles must have the appropriate hang tags. All other vehicles will be directed to General Parking.

All tailgate parties MUST stay contained within their tailgating space. This includes tents and canopies. Please keep music at a reasonable volume with family- friendly lyrics.

No generators. No trailers. No dogs or other pets. No drones.

Charcoal grills, oil fryers, smokers and steamers are prohibited – by order of the Camden Fire Department. ONLY small propane camp stoves are allowed but propane cylinders must be smaller than 20 ounces.

No vehicle larger than a minivan, SUV, or standard-sized pickup truck will be allowed in the Infield, Front Row, East Rail and West Rail. 7 feet maximum vehicle height – 10 feet maximum tent height.

FRONT ROW

No tents, awnings or canopies of any kind are permitted on Front Row tailgating spaces 21-190. 9’ x 10’ tents only in the remaining parking spaces (1-20, 191- 297)

VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS

Limit one (1) vehicle per tailgate space. No re-entry onto the grounds.

Trailers, golf carts, ATV’s, pull behind cookers, rooftop carriers and vehicles with signage or wraps are prohibited. Call the office for info on motorcycles, and oversized vehicles including limos, shuttles, commercial vans and buses.

There will be no tolerance for an individual vehicle to pass back their hangtag to another vehicle entering the gate to get into a tailgating lot. The consequence will result in both vehicles being removed from the property.

RESTRICTED PARKING

Driving RVs only that are no longer than 35’ in length.
We do not allow for overnight camping. We do not have hookups for RV’s.
NO TAILGATING IS ALLOWED IN VIP PARKING OR GENERAL ADMISSION PARKING.
No tents, awnings or canopies of any kind are allowed in the VIP Parking or General Admission Parking areas. These are parking lots only!

Do’s and Dont’s

Do make sure your vehicle meets size restrictions for your tailgate area.
Do distribute all credentials before arriving to Springdale Race Course. Everyone over 12 years of age MUST have a ticket to enter the property.
Do make a designated driver choice in advance.
Do place your hangtag on your review mirror before you enter the race course. Use the gate number and address on your hangtag to reduce traffic at each gate. Do have all tickets ready to show at the gate.
Do use paper, plastic and cans – avoid glass whenever possible
Do allow time for traffic and consider alternative routes to arrive at the correct gate.

Don’t overcrowd your tailgate space.
Don’t play loud or profane music.
Don’t touch the horse. Race horses are beautiful but dangerous.
Don’t bring your pets. We love dogs but they will not be allowed entry onto Springdale Race Course.
Don’t bring flags, banners, flyers, balloons, solicitation materials or campaign materials.
Don’t encroach on other’s tailgating space.
Don’t bring drones for the safety of guests and horses.
Don’t bring charcoal grills, oil fryers, smokers or steamers. They are prohibited by order of the Camden Fire Department.

Weather appropriate clothes and hats Sunscreen and sunglasses
Binoculars
Food and beverage of all kinds – avoiding glass if possible Lawn chairs and blankets
Cash as some vendors are cash only. ATMs on site.
